It be interesting if somebody came up with a meta narrative for the series, like some do for other JRPGs.
What's that? The meta narrative?
Oh where a fan of the series chains together different installments, and forms a loose head canon. Ex. The events that led up to Grandia to Grandia II as part of a larger cultural history. Room mate didnt say outright this is what that meant, but suggested it.
It seems like all possibility to continue the Grandia series is a foregone conclusion now. Then again, in a way at least the series didn't go downhill like final fantasy.
Seeing as how the creator died a few years ago, yeah, there's next to no possibility of another game.
While I agree to a point, it seems weird to me that FF completely usurped Sakaguchi, and yet with Matts it's kind of an industry exception.
